Get crafting

Finding things to do when you’re being discouraged to leave the house can be difficult, but the great thing about embroidery and crafting is it’s something you can come back to again and again. And with so many different things to make, the fun just goes on and on.

If you’re not a regular crafter or you want to try something a little bit different, then crafting kits are a great way to start. Here at Marathon we have crafting kits available that are sure to keep you and / or your children busy. If you’ve never done anything like this before then there is no need to worry. Each kit comes with skeins of coloured embroidery floss, the pieces you need for the specific task in hand and clear and directional instructions so you can follow them step by step for the perfect result.

Take friendship bracelets for example. These come with a variety of coloured threads and a weave wheel. If you’re a first timer at friendship bracelets try our Make Your Own series which contains: 12 colours (eight metres each), one weave wheel and project instructions. If you’ve done it before or have a few in the house that may like to give it a go then Fashion Girlz theme pack may be just the thing. Each pack contains: 105 skeins of 9.14m craft cord, eight weave wheels and project instructions.
